I helped all my roommates find love. Now they want revenge.
When my besties present me with a plan to find the man of my dreams, I pass. Easily. Until my recent ex of five years very publicly announces his engagement to someone he just met. If dating shows him I’m happy and thriving, I’m all in.
But after half a dozen nightmare dates, I’m having doubts. My roommates say they’re only “repaying the favor,” but this experiment feels more like payback.
Thank goodness I have my best friend Charlie. He had my back through my breakup, and he’s got it now. He’s the rock I can always count on—until he shocks me with a confession that threatens our friendship.
Now, I have to prove to Charlie nothing has to change—while I try to survive my roommates’ deluded matchmaking.
But with the rift between Charlie and me growing deeper by the day, I’m starting to wonder if he’s right. Am I missing what’s right in front of me?
Maybe the perfect guy has been here all along…
