Nineteen-year-old punk-rock drummer Fallon Rivera lives every day like it’s her last. Life is a blur of parties, loud music, and cheap alcohol until her parents cut her off. If her band, Edge of September, doesn’t get a record deal by the end of the summer, Fallon–broke and homeless–will have to leave LA and move back home where she is constantly haunted by the memories of her sister.
When Fallon meets Noah Cooper, a rival musician at Twisted Fest, an outdoor battle-of-the-bands festival, it’s all too obvious the threat they each pose to the other’s ambitions. But as they grow closer, Fallon shows Noah how to live his life at full volume while Noah teaches Fallon the value in the quiet moments. Unfortunately, only one band can take home the grand prize: a record deal that could save either of them–but not both.
