Marshall, SJ – He Called Me Lola

September 13, 2026 · In: 20th

My life isn’t a fairytale, but I already knew that. I learned that a long time ago. Ever since my dad passed away, and I have been stuck living with my stepmother and two stepsisters, life has been hard. The only thing that keeps me going is the memories of my mom from back when I was a little girl. She taught me to believe in happily ever afters but I gave up on that a while ago. That is until Don stumbled into my life- or I guess I should say I stumbled into his. Literally.

Don sees me in a way no one ever has and it doesn’t hurt that his emerald green eyes are easy to get lost in, or that he knows just what to do and say to cheer me up. With Don, I can be myself. With Don, I know that there are no secrets between us…

My life isn’t a fairytale, but maybe, just maybe, it could be.
