A former bookseller, MIKKI HELMER currently works in the industry as a sensitivity reader and recently taught at the Writing Excuses: Riding Retreat. She writes queer sci-fi and fantasy novels with her short fiction available in Peculiar: Queer Literary Journal. Mikki is also a ceramics artist in addition to being an equestrian who recently started her own sporthorse breeding program.
